1. Seat belts save lives, in the event of a crash it reduces the impact of a crash or head on collision so BUCKLE UP.
2. Using mobile phones while driving is one of the major causes of accidents. If you must accept a call please find a safe unobtrusive area which will not affect oncoming traffic.
3. Always be alert. When driving
4. Always ensure that toddlers and children up to the age of 12 are restrained in an appropriate child seat or booster seat when traveling the rare seat in a vehicle.
5. It is imperative to obey all traffic signals and laws.
6. Under all conditions drive at a speed which will allow you to stop within a safe distance of the car in front of you.
7. Indicators and hand signals allow other drivers to know your intended course of action.
8. Do NOT drive if tired or on medication that will affect or impair your judgment, If tired, find a safe area to take a rest before proceeding on your journey.
9. Do NOT drink and drive. Alcohol, even in small amounts can impair your judgment
10. REMEMBER! Not adhering to Road Safety Practices can result in injury or even death.
- Keep within the prescribed speed limit.
-Reduce speed even below speed limits when roads are slippery.
-Obey all NO ENTRY sign to avoid accidents.
