TWO MORE murders were recorded yesterday in Aranjuez and along the North Coast Road in Maracas.
One of the victims was identified as Mark Lokhan, 24, of Petit Curacaye, Santa Cruz Old Road, Lower Santa Cruz, while the other, a female, remained unidentified up to late yesterday.
The discovery of the first victim was made around 7 a.m, yesterday by CEPEP workers who were cleaning an area along River Road in Aranjuez south. The workers spotted the body of Lokhan floating in a drain at the side of the road.
The police were notified and officers from the Barataria Police Station, Homicide Bureau of Investigations and Special Anti-Crime Unit of Trinidad and Tobago went to the scene.
After the victim's body was fished out of the water, police discovered he had a gunshot wounds to the back of the head and one in the stomach. Relatives identified Lokhan based on the description officers gave to them. A motive for the incident is yet to be established.
