Its done to protect them and make them a profit.Or it could be that the rest of the story wasn't interesting enough or too risky for them to print. I've noticed the media picks and chooses what stories are made, and which ones are followed up on.
They probably out there still, no way we could find out I suppose.Do note that article came out 8th November 2014 and nothing more has been heard since.
Them crooked officers probably get transferred and out on the streets still
In other words the stories are fabricated by a large extent. Its done to protect them and make them a profit.
Hence the reason I don't generally read news papers.
I don't know about the fabrication part, but I know much of it is greatly exaggerated and extremely biased. Trinidadian newspapers reek of yellow journalism. Whatever it takes to make people pick it up = $$, no matter what the content is. I read them when I need to know about particular things going on, but generally avoid them as much as possible.
1.I wonder how come they are not bussing the wrecker-ring where police officers are given a cut of wreckers money when they wreck cars illegally from the POS area and transfer them to get scrapped or sold over.
Hence the fabrication. Its all exaggerated to appeal to the mass population. Sometimes its probably just not worth a follow up since its not going to be a juicy story. Journalism and reporting for the most part consists of some sort of bias and that to me is a good way to influence a population since people tend to believe in these stories and often times I find that key details aren't reported.
