eid mubarak to the muslim community and happy holidays to those who get the day off. I'll be heading to Barrackpore to celebrate Eid with some friends... Jus thinking of all that food makes me hungry.

Yes and plus it will be a double celebration bcuz it MIGHT fall on independence dayy

dis yr d date is d 19th or 20th August...On the day of the celebration....Muslim family gets up very early and attends special prayers held only for the occasion in mosques...in large open areas or stadiums....worshippers greet and embrace each other in a spirit of peace, love, and brotherhood...visiting friends and relatives is also common....the prayer is generally short an is followed by a khutba...the festivities and merriment start after the prayers with visits to the homes of friends and relatives and thanking the Creator for all blessings....Eid is a time to come together as a community and to renew friendship and family ties!!!
