the catholic church has a former nazi general as its pope, there have been hundreds of cases where children have been molested by catholic and anglican priests and these same people are allowed to keep their priesthood while their victims fall into deep depression, drug and alcohol abuse and even suicide. the catholic church is one multi billion dollar robbery, they dont pay ANY taxes, in any country and did you know that just about every major catastrophe in world history was in the ''name of God'' ? you name it, european invasion of the west, eradication of native indians in the west (yes caribs, arawaks, mayans, native indians incas etc) slavery, holocaust, every single war fought in the last four years was religiously motivated. gays cant marry. gays cant serve openly in the military. stem cell research is taboo. i could go
on. now this is not to say that people who follow religion are bad (i respect everyones right to worship whomever they wish) but the fact of the matter is religion has been and still is (benny hinn, anyone?) used to instill fear in people although it has helped ppl find peace. but all in all, the catholic church, before anything else, first and foremost, is. a. business.
