Imagine the horror some Trinibagonians dont even celebrate carnival... the horror.

Yeah.......from a history student point of view carnival began when they were emancipated and set free...every one came together to celebrate this jumping for joy. They came together to make costumes and paraded in what ever they wore.

The old favourites eg. Blue devil etc is just a display on how slaves used to be treated during slavery with a little additional change...
Nearly all of the fav. costumes are jus representatives from the days of slavery eg. Sailor

FACE : The sailor dances also are how slaves used to mock the whites when they were drunk !
