The dead sea is a sea near Israel. It got it's name because most organisms cant grow or live in it, no fishes, critters, animals, reefs, mostly bacterias are present because of its high levels of sodium. However humans can adapt quite well to it.The land surrounding the dead sea is the lowest elevation point of dry land in the world. It's also the saltiest sea on earth too! Because not much water can get out, the only form of water moving here is when it evaporates and the slight flow from the Jordan river. It evaporates quite a lot because this is said to be one of the hottest places on earth too. There are salt deposits floating over the water, because when salt water evaporates the salt is left behind. The water is so dense that you're sure not to drown, people are able to float in the water and read books if they wanted to. It is also said that there are a lot of therapeutic cures here to, for problems such as allergies, psoriasis, asthma, and so on. Many minerals are found here that can be used in make-up, and medicines. The mud, if used on you skin can give you a healthy glow, also sunbathing here is not as harmful because the atmospheric pressure here filters the UV rays giving less risk to skin cancer. This place is ideal for swimmers who need a lot of athletic practice or who just love to swim, it allows you to swim faster with a higher body resistance against the water giving you a more intense workout. This sea may seem mystical so far, but it is in grave danger of becoming non existent because less water from the river jordan is being transferred in mostly because of man made interventions such as pipes and dams, and due to intense evaporation the water is disappearing, but if we were to develop a canal, the unbalancing of salt water and fresh water would cause the sea to lose it's charm!
