Most of us have no experience importing the car by ourself we usually go true a dealer who does this for us (all the running around for papers) and usually makes a large profit on our heads..so as a used car importer what are your ways to bring something different to the game why should someone consider you from the other importers???

That's true, many people go through a dealer. For someone new to importing, the whole system can seem quite intimidating. Can you give us some examples of why more people should look into importing themselves?

Yes all the papers can be quite intimidating but the internet has made figuring out what to do easier. Here is a link with some information. http://tradeind.gov.tt/Business-Development/Trade-Licence-Unit/ItemId/39

My company offers customers the ability to browse auctions themselves and we assist customers through the whole process. This give the customer more control over the quality and type of vehicle they purchase.

Wow that was an interesting read! I didn't know a site like that existed. lol i wasn't paying attention

I think alot of people are scared to import a vehicle they cannot physically see. Then then there is the what if's of the vehicle reaching Trinidad and it sustained damage in the container

Hello,

Most vehicles shipped to Trinidad are not in containers. They are RORO shipped. Which means roll on roll off.

Thank you for clearning this up. But other than that , there are some damages.

We were fishing close to the port in Port-of-Spain sometime ago and we saw alot of RORO vehicles that have damages. This is expected as you are bringing down a vehicle from quite Japan, however, some skeptical people might be afraid.
I myself in the future would love to bring down my very own vehicle.

How do I know that I'm actually getting the pictured car and that it has no hidden damage that isn't made obvious? Once you can be open and honest about everything, then you have a great chance of selling cars to locals.
