It could have two more cases here in tobago. They sent in the samples for tests. This not looking too good if they're positive that means the virus is out in the population. That is pandemic fuel right there.
My father and i went to the airport today and well my dad used to work there fixing the planes so he have alot of friends there..the word going out is that anyone who shows even 5% of any symptoms of the h1n1 virus will be monitored for 10 days until release but i do not know if it is true
When asia had sars china implemented infra red cameras. They worked by showing those people whose bodies were above normal temp. Those who had a fever or infection would show up brighter than those around them. It better than trying to spot by eye.
Of course this will never happen in TnT.
There are now seven cases of swine flu in T&T......The latest victim is a woman police officer attached at the Chaguanas Police Station... Now all officers are wearing mask.... Be on the alert...
Everyone who when in the police station should take a check up this is serious to know that this epidemic is effecting out public services, their are incompetent but to make them even more incompetent hmmm
Everyone wearing masks now..down to taxi drivers and our instructors in our gym ...down to teachers..everyone is frighten for this and so am i..i am feeling to buy a mask now yes
People are panicing thinking they have swine flu and flooding health institutions. Swine flu isn't that special for people to be freaking out so. Human influenza has been in Trinidad and Tobago before and it will be after this swine flu gone. The acting like its aids or something.. actually aids has a way higher mortality rate why aren't people pushing to get tested for HIV instead. A doctor on tv said the mortality rate for swine flu is less that 0.5 % not even 1% . You are only likely to die from the flu if you are already unhealthy, those are the people who would need treatment for any other flu virus.
Figures of swine flu victims has risen to 18 people.... Pharmacy has ran out of mask...people are buying the bandaners to wrap there faces....
I agreee with u rau cous... People are panicing too much....Im sure them same people who using those mask, not using it home.. So who are they trying to fool...If yuh have to get swine flu then u will get it...But the most one can do is be alert....
Yeah the same things our mothers have been telling us since we were old enough to listen. Wash your hands after you handle money or use a public restroom or before you are going to eat. To use soap and water or hand sanitzer. Not to touch surfaces that alot of people touch like atm keypads and payphones or toilet doornobs. People think that swine flu is air borne but it is only airborne in the form of spittle from coughing and sneezing. There i only so far a drop of spit could fly. And after all of the dressing up they do in public they go home and be unhygienic as ever. It goes to show how we were not being clean before all this panic that spreading all those people who claim to bathe two and three times a day and ting lol.. (once in de morning and again in the evening is ok but three times probably wasting water) if we were always that clean why are we worried.
The point is we should be keeping clean and sanitary regardless of what out there... especially since fecal bacteria tends to end up in our restaurant ice inexpicably... er maybe not so inexplicably.
Now the T&T regiment has been put on high alert after two soldiers contracted the swine flu....The barracks are locked down....Ministry of Health reported 32 cases of swine flu...23 of those who had it now recoverd....
because of the swine flu , the Caribbean games was cancelled....Now it will be held in another country....
The minister of Health, Jerry Narace confrimed that by October 2009, Swine flu vaccine will be available for the public...So far there are 53 cases of swine flu ... Hold on T&T, we have four months to wait for the swine flu vaccine...Don't die!!!!!!!!
The only reason we took so many precautions was because we have about six Tobago workers who go to Tobago on weekends...And on Monday four of them came back with the cold..Which lead nine of us Trinidad workers contracting it.
