ah doh c anyting rong wit tellin a person "can u plz not smoke now, coz it affects me" its ah ting call common courtesy, if done nicely ppl will comply!!! dey go grumble but will put out it or move if possible, we need to patiently wean out dere habbit from around us

True. Before the smoking ban, I asked people once or twice to not smoke when I was in the foodcourt of some places and around my younger cousins or niece. Most people apologise and are nice about others. It's all about simple respect and manners.
