What do you guys think about the rape situation in T&T? why are people raping women, young girls for?
What do you think are some good way to stop this?

Seriously, this matter is getting out of control. Ladies really have to be careful who they travel with...

Alot of girls are giving out their personal info on the internet eg People who are in facebook
Put up pictures of them self 1
They put their phone numbers and location 2
They have their email address shown 3
They add random people for no reason 4

These days alot of rapers are using facebook and alot of online site to get their victims.
Don't be one of them remove vital information off your social sites

Yes its a fact criminals are not stupid they use more technology than the police, plus moves these days show and explain every thing how to perform the best criminal act.

Yes Resha Some people put up pics of their houses and stuff online and their families houses too...

Kidnappers:

1. Look in the directory to find your phone number or address when u post it up online
2. They look at your friends convo with you on the sites and learn everything about you
3. Gather info from your profile and add your friends
4. Get info from your friends about you
5. OR Add you to msn anf flirt with you for a couple of days then find out more things about you..
6. Search to see if you have more info on other social sites
7. When they get all they need they check out your house and could USE GOOGLE MAP
to see where whould be a good route to kidnap you :icon_wink:

Wow... the WWW is a scary place to be!!!!

I had a friend who was rape by a taxi driver routing form couva to chaguanas...However she did not tell anyone...But now after five years she's happily married with two kids...
She said to me recently that she saw the guy and wondering if its still possible to file a report...Is that possible?????????

I think its a bit late .... there will be no signs on her..no evidence on that day... But most of the time girls who fall in that bracket, hesitate to report these matters especially if they know de man...

If its true that many of the crimes are from repeat offenders catching even a few rapists should reduce the numbers of cases. and identifying these rape gangs would help too.

The thing about rape is that its not jus about gangs or taxi drivers but it also include close family members... people who value there family don't sell out there own who does such act...So its difficult to reduce these cases....

Women should stop being ashamed and speak out if they get rape, what will happen if she does nothign and the same man rapes someone else, When a person rapes he will not stop because he has the urge to do it now

Yes but we all have to be a little mindful for other people, its like it have a nail on the ground and it sticks you and you are leaving it for some one else to get stick.
People have to be a little more considerate or else we will just loose in this battle

SAying these things are so simply but getting someone to actually come forward it such a hard thing to do....Imagine you are a girl who got raped.... there are advantages and disadvanatages when they do report rape....

Advantages of course the guy get captured and thats it

Disadvantages--- romurs all over the village, people would look at her differently, everywherer she goes people would say "thats the girl who got rape" "Im so sorry to hear what happen to you" ..... this is not helpful...

showing support isnt helpful? the thing is rape IS BAD it IS TERRIBLE everyone knows this.. but does hiding it really help?? how do you think the criminal feels when he gets cuaught.. he should feel worse.. if we want him to pay.. and we're not saying you just go around tel everybody what happened only those who can do something.
