Conjugal visits for convicted prisoners, as well as mandatory testing for HIV and AIDS, are privileges to be afforded under the new Prisons Rules, which are to be tabled in Parliament shortly....The new rules establish requirements of clothing, food and sleeping accommodation that conform, where possible, to United Nations and international standards, rules also make provision for adequate medical services that will cater to prisoners with special needs and conditions..prisoners will communicate with their family, friends and attorneys, including the use of telephone and video visits, as well as conjugal and private family visits who meet eligibility criteria...also provision of prenatal and post-natal care to all pregnant prisoners and the rules would set out the manner in which work, earnings, education and vocation programmes are to be provided for the prisoners.....New prison rules, conjugal visits allowed...WAT SAYS U..?
 
would d security of the prisons b at risk....drugs an other substance could b brought in by family members...spendin our tax payers dollars for dem to feel gd...who will supervise dem wen in d sexual act...can d officers prevent ah rape if for some reason d wife doh wana hav sex dat day, women can change dere mind...can dey prevent diseases from oral or anal intercourse...how much money will b spent on dis project!!!
 
Plans are under way to install cable television at the multi-million-dollar Santa Rosa prison so inmates will have the luxury of watching a variety of channels while serving time for their crimes...Commissioner of Prisons Martin Martinez confirmed that he intends to install cable TV at the prison..televisions r in all our prisons, Port of Spain, Carrera... in the new facility, it will be no different,” said Martinez...an a total of $5 million in renovations to fix the roof..dis kinda ting dey calling rehabilitation an tryin to reform d inmates!!!
