With the preliminary leg completed, the International Soca Monarch Competition Semi Finalists have selected their positions for the next round of competition. The big day, called the largest Soca Picnic for Carnival will feature 84 contestants performing their pieces for a chance to claim the Lotto Plus International Power Soca Monarch and the Digicel International Groovy Soca Monarch titles.
This year, Semi Finalists will create history by competing for the first time at The Greens in the Queen's Park Savannah. The gates to the cooler-styled event will open at 12 noon, with the show beginning at 2pm, allowing patrons to spend an entertaining afternoon into night of sweet Soca for just $100.
Successful competitors will advance to the finals on Fantastic Friday at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.
