Ganga honoured in Barrackpore

A Barrackpore Club is to name its home ground after Trinidad and Tobago skipper Daren Ganga.


The national captain and his brothers Sherwin and Sheldon started their cricket careers at the All Apaches Club in Barrackpore.


The club has decided to name its home ground after Ganga, a veteran of 48 test matches and 164 first-class matches.


Ganga grew up in Kanhai Trace, just a short walk away from the All Apache's ground

Its good that the area he grew up in recognised him... Knowing Mr. Ganga he mit do everything he can to get the grounds up to mark... I also heard that Opposition Leader Mrs. Kamla Persad-Bissessar said that if she wins election (which mit call sooner that we all excepted) She will make Mr. Ganga a Junior minister in sports or some ministry....We know he has the knowledge, he's a term player but do u think he wants to be a politics?
