Does Anyone Think the New Police Lights are a Hazard?

Do you think the new "LED" Police lights are a hazard to your vision at night? I find that the new LED lights they are using are terribly bright, so much that I am blinded at night and barely see. Its probably worse than most people with HIDs... What do you have to say about it?

Yes its very bright and it can be a hazard but it's bright for many reasons, Example
When in emergency, other drivers on the road will notice which vehicle's siren is on and will know when to pull to the side.
In escorts for basically the same reasons as above.
To deter criminals elements so they will know that a patrol is around.
To alert members of the public that an emergency vehicle is around so that they can ask for help if needed.
Plus many more.
The good out weighs the bad i think.

Yeah i think its very irritate on the roadside and with this eyes of some people may effect worse.So i think there is need to change their light or dim the lights is a good step.

The older lights served the same function but didnt interfere with your night time vision. I also think it needs a night mode in agreeance with mad racer.

One night I actually had to use my sun visor to protect my eyes as I was right behind a police vehicle at a red light. Thing was so damn bright..

them lights is strain...............in the front of you in d back....could turn off your headlights when them infront of you and still see the road clear as day :/

Sometimes they are 2 streets away and it looks like they're basically a few feet away... I am all for deterring crime but I cannot see these super bright lights being anything but serious hazards to motorists. They need a night mode so they don't blind people at night.

As an off topic question, any of you find the black Police Prado drives recklessly?

^^^Yup but i guess thats their job...anytime i see it coming i just find a way quickly to move out of its way yes......after a encounter i had with them once

Yup nearly saw an accident with them since last year..Speeding as usual and as someone turned into a street on the main road the black prado rushed him nearly colliding in an accident. Smh

That Prado almost killed me twice when i had the Altis... Im surprised they havent wrecked it yet with how recklessly they drive it.

Even some of the military vehicles like the 3.0 Hiluxes they have, the army men will make u feel they are sports cars with the way they drive them.

I can only imagine what they do with the pathfinders since they are based on the Navara.

^^^^ they almost lick me up by the intersection b4 gulf city when u come down the highway after that piece of crappy driving by them...

They have a habit of pulling up in the middle between 2 lanes and flashing the high beam twice when people dont move.

Once a kia truck beside me took long to move to his side and they nearly sent me into the median. Since then i grew to love the 4wd cause they dont do that type of stupidness to me anymore.

Yeah these police lights are a type of Hazard for us as if anyone is on the speed and these light can blow up suddenly so it cause a big crash on the road so their is need to lower the intensity of these lights.
