This Real Sad. When the woman tried to stand up now it was too late . i feel she husband had plenty to do with this
A woman who left home last Wednesday to get a restraining order from the court to protect herself against an abusive relative, has gone missing.
Relatives of Jairagie Deolal, 43, fear the worst.
Police have no clue about her whereabouts despite questioning the relative, and searching areas between Cunupia and Las Lomas, in rural Central Trinidad.
Deolal, of Cunupia, is either being held against her will, or is dead, according to relatives, who begged yesterday for a more extensive search.
Deolal's four-year-old son Sean Deolal was killed by her estranged husband Himragh Sookhai in March last year at a house at Ibis Gardens, Caroni.
The infant was poisoned.
Sookhai then killed himself by drinking the poison.
Since then, Deolal lived with a daughter at a home in Cunupia, and was involved in a new relationship.
A relative said Deolal left home last Wednesday headed to the Chaguanas court to get a protection order.
The man who Deolal was afraid of had been abusive to her several times before, the Express was told.
Relatives said that Deolal was weakened by a recent illness and did not have her medication when she disappeared.
Anyone with information can call the Cunupia Police Station at 665-3080 or 671-4100.
