Today many walk the streets in downtown and city areas of trinidad and we find that we pay too much for clothes. Simple tops range from 75-100 dollars and jeans are $150 - 400 average!
Our eyes are now open due to the internet offering cheaper clothes and many are ordering from popular sites such as facebook, aeropostale , wallmart, hollister and even going to America and Latin Caribbean countries such as curacao and Panama to buy and sell cheap clothes.
Do you think we pay too much for clothes in Trinidad? Compared to US And Latin American Countries , clothes are relatively cheap where people are buying $2 for women's blouse and $15 for jeans. If we calculate that it literally comes up cheaper.
Many say that the clothes are expensive here due to the import charges that we pay to bring down the clothes to sell but tell me this ! we have alot of people here in Trinidad and Available labour to make clothes here cheap ! Many garment factories have been closed down here awhile now and i think that we should get this industry open because it would generate alot of income into trinidad and also many people would be able to find jobs
