I'll go outside and scream!!!! its breaking records set by more front loaded films... (like stinky new moon!! and harry potty :haha: ) it only stated with 77m in the us, they project it to reach dark knight territory around 5OO million!!! ( more than 7 times opening weekend  ) some people are calling titanic like grosses in the us ( 601 million )and 1 billion in non us ALONE! to beat titanic unadjusted for inflation it needs about $800 million more, with only 17 ( or 21 including the previews and early release like in trinidad)days gone its still possible,, it needs major good holds though now that not many people have free time to go watch it... but is running till march about 80 days or so? i dunno but if titanic took 73 days and avatar is only 21 days old... yeahh... we'l keep watch to see if it keeps pace... :Yea:

But it definitely reach no 2 all time highest grossers!!! only 5 films have it and all were based on pre-existing stories or were sequels!! this is good for original concept films!!

Ways you know i still have not seen this movie what al yuh say movie lime?

Avatar is killing all comers. Stayed on top for six weeks so far, fighting off even Book of Eli's solid bow. Never thought any movie could beat Titanic. Guess the film had to be Cameron's own to take down the biggest of all time. Should hit $2B in the next two weeks, or before the way international grosses are going and could stay strong if it gets any big Oscar noms like Best Picture.

Well Gibson has alot of prove but I think they're going for the 'Taken' fans with Edge of Darkness...even opening the film in the same frame. The b.o. pundits say Avatar will still win this weekend to make it seven in a row!

Looks like they were right Edge of Darkness's friday estimate is 5.7 million and Avatar's is 7.5 million. The weekend gross will show even more disparity.
I guess EOD's attempt at emulating Taken failed.. kinda sad.
