Hey what's up guys ! I need some advice on choosing between cars since i don't know much .. I currently have an old model Volkswagen which i am hoping to sell before the year ends..I just love the VW & Audi cars and feel safe parking anywhere with them. I am looking to buy a used car but cannot decide between the Jetta 2007-2008 (round lights ) Model or An Audi A3 Hatchback 2007-2008 model. Any advice? :?:

hey man im a huge car fanatic, and firstly i would like to say i love audi cars, they look very elegant, simple and executive, honestly i have a preference over the A3 over the Jetta for many different reasons , for me atleast

firstly :The Audi A3 is a more powerful overall than the Vw Jetta, the A3 runs a 6 cylinder 3.2L engine which produces around 250hp around 6300rpm the Vw Jetta runs a 2.5L 5 cylinder inline engine with 150hp at around 5000rpm.

for me power is a big factor , in the words of a famous talkshow host presenter ," MOAAARRRR POWEEERRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! " -Jeremy Clarkson

another fact is the A3 is a AWD 6 speed automatic car with about 18/25 mpg

the jetta however is a FWD 6 speed automatic car with about 19/29 mpg .

all of the information i have posted here today was taken from this website

Volkswagen Jetta - http://www.edmunds.com/volkswagen/jetta/2007/

Audi A3 - http://www.edmunds.com/audi/a3/2007/
so honestly if i were you i would sooooo choose the A3 despite its price

Thanks ! I've done some research too and every site is rooting for the A3.. One thing i hate about Euro Cars is their faulty interior that starts to fall apart on you.. Man...! My Bora handrest, power window panel, light switch and hood lights all gave out ..Got the parts on amazon at some really cheap prices thou

hahah very true! nothing that a little crazy glue can't fix lol joke joke, but i think audi really stepping up their game with build quality as seen in the 2012-2013 A4s and A6s , but whichever way you go im sure your going to have a magnificent driving experience all around............................the only thing that you should complain about is the condition of the roads

I feel a bit better now! lol. My Audi roof upholstery is falling apart, as well as the doors and here I was thinking, I'm the worst audi owner ever! Faith restored.....a little. Lol.

Nah man it happens always with Euro Vehicles and to think they had years to fix that interior problem ..its still going on ! smh

Safety is very much superior and very fuel efficient.. I love my Bora, selling it just now to buy another Euro vehicle ..Either an Audi or VW

What Car Should I Buy?

Hey guys i am currently looking for a Foreign Used/Used car to buy. Can you help me out at suggesting a car that i should look at or keep in mind. I am not looking to buy a new car yet since i have alot of undertakings at hand. My price range is 80k-90k and only to be kept at maximum 2 years until i purchase a new one.

I am generally looking for a car that:

- Has a good resale value/ easily sold
- Easy to maintain
- Can take roughing up!
- Sunroof
- Sporty
- Daily Driven

What I Am Not Looking For:

- No Cubes/Wingroads/ Marches/ AD/Tida/Bluebird
- No Fielders / Corolla
- No Mazda 3 / Matrix, Fit , Spark etc. etc.

I am a very picky person .....Any ideas :)

Well if you looking foreign used then u gonna have problems as those are the cars on the fu market. Pretty much u have eliminated all the low/cheap maintenance vehicles. Sounds to me like you're a Subaru or Mitsubishi person. Your price range will afford u one, but look on the side of maintenance and prices are kinda steep for parts. Civics are sporty as well but again parts expensive and hard to get for 09 models up.

I know.. But where i live, there are alot of crime and these vehicles are most stolen. My car would just be for me alone since everyone else in my family has individual cars so no load as well. Was thinking about A Subaru Impreza or Swift ..But i'm 5"7 So idk how i would look driving a small car ?? Any other ideas

Swift is definitely too small for you. I think I gave someone else this advice....stick with your present car and save, it will come out better than financing or pay/work to own.

My uncle is a local representative for a Japanese company so if you want I will give you his number to discuss what he can do for you

Lol i figured! My car really needs to sell although i love it ..I'm afraid it might call for some parts in the future and it's better i sell than to put out that money. Can you by chance inbox me his number or location so i can check it out?? Thank You

There are many people who talk about the cars and buying the vehicle with different strategy as mentioned above. It depends upon the region and area majorly.
