Along a busy roadway yesterday, a doubles vendor was robbed by two men with guns.

The gunmen chased away a customer before placing the gun to the vendor's head and demanding money.

"The men came up and opened the gates leading to the doubles stall. He then pull out a gun and say he came for money," the vendor, who asked not to be named, said.

The stall is located at New Grant Junction, Princes Town, surrounded by several businesses.

The incident occurred around 10 a.m. The vendor was robbed of $1,000.

"This is not the first time this happened to us here. We were robbed about twice before," the vendor said.

The gunmen ran through the buildings and escaped.

Officers based at the Princes Town and Tableland stations searched the area, but no one was arrested.

Well i think if the continuously getting robbed and the police didn't do anything about it the first time then move to another location and sell the doubles. thats the only way to avoid it

How can he move remember if he's making money in that location and if he moves he may not make as much its like a hot spot. Are we being protected in this country?

It just shows that everyone is affected by crime, criminals don't care anymore they know that the police is inefficient so they can do as they please even if its to rob someone for a quick buck
