We Have Gone To The Dogs!

The body of a young, East Indian descent woman was found in a garbage bag with her head, hands and mouth bound with duct tape at the side of Orange Valley Road in Couva. Police at the Couva police station received information of the body’s location around 5pm on Saturday. Upon arriving at the scene they discovered a partially nude female body which was being devoured by dogs. The young woman whose hips and feet had been partially eaten was believed to be the victim of rape aside from being murdered.

This story is such a difficult story to even hear about. We live in a society that has truly gone to the dogs. I can’t imagine being in the position of those officers who had gone to the scene to make such a gruesome discovery. The fact that we as a society can record an incident of dogs eat a human carcass, speaks to the level of deterioration our country is experiencing.

In cinematography a depiction on dog eating human carcass is used to emphases the total downfall of a civilization. I feel that Trinidad is being over run by more and more uncivilized, barbaric individuals. And the remaining citizens are in a state of learn helplessness, where we just sit around and do nothing to stop the injustices that are wreaking havoc on our nation. How does a person reach to the point of disposing of another human being in a garbage bag? She is not garbage.

Do dogs eat anything? I find it unnerving that dogs would gain a taste for human flesh. But that reall sickening. I just hope it have enough evidence to find whoever did this.

Another statistic to further reiterate the gradual decay that has befallen our society. My sympathies go out to the victim's family and friends. The person (I use this very loosely) who did this is a soul-less entity. Completely void of any semblance of normalcy. The atrocity of some knows no bounds... Is it not enough that you already raped the woman? Why take her life too? Do you not have a mother? This victim could have been someone's mother, IS someones daughter, sister, friend etc. Why must you aid in the further collapse of my beloved land by committing such acts... Is there any hope for my land?

That was really a sad story.... And to imagine the scene ...thats jus sick...I guess the only hope there is , is to believe in yourself that one can make a difference in our land...

To know you have a wife or a girlfriend guys do you guys feel safe when your female loved one goes out to work or any where for that matter, this is really sick, to be tortured and raped before you be killed. When i read this i almost cried because i have female family my gf my sister my mom, and these kinda of thing going on in the country, Its hopeless

Its not jus happening to the females is society alone.... But its good to read how the male factor feels about such situation where females are concern...

But we should not think the situation is hopeless...remember we still have our loves ones to look after..so don't jus get up my T&T...We have our path to play so jus do it....

today two male about 19 or 20 yrs came for a student claiming is their niece so i ask for a note from the parents they had non the little girl said she dont know them, you know the darn mother sent her worker for d child and did not informed d school so parents are sometimes so careless because they are so busy

I USED TO REMEMBER WHEN CARNIVAL COSTUMES WERE SO PRETTY AND TRINIDAD WAS PRAISED FOR ITS ONE OF A KIND CELEBRATION..Now women going in bands who wearing the littlest of clothing! i feel ashamed sometimes to be a citizen of this country!

I this country women have little or no respect for themselves, the tightest clothes with no underwear in the new trend in P.O.S. And when a man suits them they does say mean have no up bringing its not us women if you reviled your body's like that what do you really expect. The less cloth on a piece of clothes in the more expensive it is.
