Hey guys! Have you ever felt static shock from your vehicle when you are sitting or touching your door. This is caused by static electricity generated from the movement of your clothes on the car seat or the movement of your hand on the steering wheel. This static electricity creates and builds that when coming out from your car, anything you come into contact with that has a high resistance to electrical current, sends of a static shock. That's why its good to have car seats or steering wheel covers. This static electricity can go one for days or weeks shocking everything or anyone you come into contact with.

Never experienced it while driving or getting in or out. Usually at home

I used to experience static shock when i didn't have a steering wheel cover and since i have bought one ..no more shocks! Cars that have leather seating is more prone to giving of static electricity.

actually i have heard about this already from a close friend of mine, she experiences this when she enters her car which is fabricated with some sort of suade material or something like that, what she did was get a magnet and rub it all over the cars fabric and that worked , but i remember telling her to hold the metal door frame or the roof of the car a few seconds before entering the car, that minimizes the risk of you getting shocked.

other helpful things are to wear insulating material like foam or rubber , and try not to wear too much metal.
