It was revealed in public yesterday in a statement written by PM Kamla Persad Bissessar that she had contracted a classic type of dengue fever while carrying out her duties as normal this week. She and The health minister were planning strong attacks against preventing dengue fever when she herself contracted the disease.
She is advised by the doctors to stay home and rest however, would be working at her home as normal and also would be back and ruling as soon as she is fit again. Ministers believe that she contracted it in POS when she took a walk of the city.
