IN A SCENE that bore resemblance to that of a mafia movie, two construction workers were found dead in the Felicity River.

Narad Sookoo, 29, and Tameshwar Doobay, 22, both Guyanese nationals living in St Augustine, were at their worksite at around 4 p.m. on Saturday when two cars pulled up alongside the site.

A group of men emerged from the cars and called across the two men.

A heated discussion followed and the two men were bound by the group of men and bundled into one of the vehicles.

Relatives of the men got word of the incident and made a report to St Joseph Police.

Any hope of finding the men alive ended yesterday when residents of Felicity made a report to Chaguanas police yesterday at around 9.30 a.m. about the discovery of two lifeless male bodies floating in the river just off Shipping Road.

The bodies were confirmed by relatives to be those of the two construction workers.

All their clothing was intact with the exception of their missing shoes.

Police said their bodies did not have any marks of violence, but suspect foul play in their drowning.

I heard from another newspaper that its drug related.... I think the police mit have a better idea who they looking for since their were other workers present at the time... Them criminals did not waste time to kill those guys... Thats so sad!!!

Now the press is saying that the guys had stolen 800 dollars from a businessman so they got kill for 800 dollars...
But the police already arressted some guys for the murder....

Arrest were made for the murders.... the businessman who they (guyanese) were working for hired two guys to kill them for 800 dollars..... The businessman was held and the ttwo suspect..... Gallows for them!!!!!!!!

What kinda business is that boy that sound like some kinda mafia thing. And we thought criminals were drug dealers and gang members. If this is a legit business why the had to be so dotish to be hiring hitman and killin people.. hmmm.

The guyanese were hired to do construction on the compound.... The boss man or the businessman claims that someone stole 800 dollars from him so he suspected the guyanese.... So thats how he hired the hitman to kill them but still oh gosh 800 dollars?!!!!!
