Well yesterday was the 1st of June and it so happen to be the start of the rainy season.... And to top it off it actually rain real hard too.... So gather yuh umbella's , boots, rain, coats etc..... The Met Office said they will be getting atleast 11 Hurricanes this season.... :evil:
 
Well just hope none of those 11 hits T&T, i would like for us to be in the green zone
 
well d mayaro coast line is eroding there were about 50 coconut tres uprooted along d shore , when u c how d land gone its very frighting i was very scared yesterday to see trinidad washin away like that ,our island is gettin smaller people!!!!!!!
 
omg...due to global warming the ice caps are melting which causing a rise in sea level which produces more destructive waves which eroding the coast..lord help us !
 
Do you guys think in the future that it could have no central trinidad? Is central above sea level? I heard that if a volcano in monsterrat explode well enough it could cause a tsunami.. But i think thats just to frighten people lol.
I think Trinidad and Tobago have the resources to survive and rebuild after a hurricane. What I dont trust is the people. We get too complacent with just watchin everyone else get hit.
 
Down at plumitan and the farming villages in mayaro, ministry of works are drenching and cleaning rivers, so all debris are out and a free flow of water this year also not much flooding there coz d flood gates are intact. good work there for (melon) farmers
 
Andres a tropical storm brushes Mexico yesterday..... 1 person was killed...Mexico was issued a hurricane warning yesterday...
 
dis yr d names of d hurricanes r : ANNA - BILL - CLAUDETTE - DANNY -ERIKA -FRED -GRACE -HENRI - IDA -JOAQUIN - KATE -LARRY -MINDY -NICHOLAS -ODETTE -PETER -ROSE -SAM -TERESA -VICTOR and WANDA each year an average of 11 tropical storms develop over d atlantic ocean caribbean sea and gulf of mexico an about 6 become hurricane
 
hmmmm i know some people with those names.......maybe they eman bad luck for this hurricane season LOL.

Guess they ain't comin in my house this year.
 
lol ...they have weird names for hurricanes jed. imagine of they used to call hurricanes code names like H1N1 lol that wudda be kool

LOL Most hurricane names are girls lol....wonder why? Yes this is another year we praying that hurricanes dont hit us ..we getting alot of disturbances and waves but atleast we eh gettin the real thing
 
THE 2010 hurricane season is over and the Met Office yesterday said the close call of Hurricane Tomas should be a reminder for the country to be “better prepared” for the 2011 season.

According to the Met Office, this year’s season witnessed a total of 21 depressions, 19 tropical storms and 12 hurricanes, five of which developed into major hurricanes-Category 3 or more.

because of Hurricane Issac flights have been cancelled and alot of people stranded etc.. hurricane issac has left a devastating effect on countries and continue to gain speed... i hope everyone is okay

Hurricane Sandy pounded Jamaica with intense rains causing widespread flooding across the island yesterday....the Meteorological Service of Jamaica continued its hurricane warning even as the eye of Hurricane Sandy began to emerge along the north coast of the island.....Sandy was moving 14 miles per hour, and was expected to continue today with an increase in forward speed. On this track, the centre of Sandy was expected to move over eastern Cuba tonight and the central Bahamas today.....Sandy was expected to weaken last night as it moved over eastern Cuba before re-strengthening over the Bahamas.....strong winds and steady rainfall, have resulted in downed poles and lines in the parishes of Portland, St Mary, St Ann, St Thomas, St James, Westmoreland....
 
The latest forecast from the National Hurricane Center, issued at 11 p.m., said that the storm was still 470 miles from New York City and moving northward at 14 miles per hour.... the storm still likely to make landfall somewhere in the vicinity of southern New Jersey by late Monday evening....In Ocean City, Md., where residents were evacuated earlier in the day, live-streaming Web cams – now disabled – showed the storm surge already reaching up to the boardwalk..... School was called off and residents of low-lying areas of the city and shore towns were told to evacuate
From South Carolina all the way up to Maine, people are being warned to prepare -- and, in some cases, evacuate.....Subways, buses, trains and more are being shut down in various places as the storm approaches......Tens of thousands of people were also ordered to evacuate coastal areas across the northeastern United States, including in New Jersey and Connecticut, as officials opened shelters to house the displaced. the death toll across the Caribbean to 65, with 51 of those coming in Haiti....Sandy also killed 11 in Cuba, where officials said it destroyed or damaged tens of thousands of houses. Deaths were also reported in Jamaica, the Bahamas and Puerto Rico. Authorities in the Dominican Republic said the storm destroyed several bridges and isolated at least 130 communities while damaging an estimated 3,500 homes......
