Global Warming Is The Rise in The average global temperatures caused by a man made increase in the level of green house gases.
This is How Global Warming Came About
Well remember the atmosphere protects the earth from the direct heat from the sun, well when the sun's rays reaches the earth's surface some of the heat is absorbed into the clouds and reflected back into space. The remainder reaches the earth's surface and warms it. This is the natrual green house effect however, if the concerntration of the green house gases increases more heat is trapped causing temperature rise.
GREEN HOUSE GASES
-Carbon Dioxide 72%- Fossil Fuels, Deforestation
-CFC- Air Conditioners, Fridges 13%
Nitrous Oxide- 5%- Fertilizers
Methane- 10%- Bacterial Digestion in Cows etc
Consequences Of It
Changes in the Global Climate causing frequent storms and hurricanes that gain strength over the warm seas that we now have, longer dry seasons, shorter wetter rainy seasons, alot of flooding, food decline in production
Agriculture- Highter temperatures will lead to an increase in evaporation and it will hold back on crop growth, there will be an increade in carbon dioxide , reducing yields of crops
Rise in Sea Levels causing coastal flooding, sea water replacing ground water etc
Tourism- Beachfront hotels are damaging because they are becoming eroded, coral reefs and marine tourism are becoming threatening because of coral bleaching and warmer seas causing marine animals to flee to suitable temperatures
