A 12-year-old school girl, who went to play with her cousins three houses away from where she lived, has disappeared.
Rebecca Naina Basdeo, a pupil of Orange Valley Government School, left her home at Carli Bay, Couva, around 4 p.m. on Monday.
She went to her relatives' home at Pam's Avenue, Couva, where she stayed for half an hour, police said. Rebecca then said good-bye and headed toward her home. She never arrived.
She was wearing blue jeans, a grey shirt with a black top underneath, and a pair of black slippers.
Her family has searched the homes of relatives and friends but, up to yesterday evening, she had not been found, police said.
A report was filed at the Couva Police Station.
