Hey Today i went wid my class as a brain cooler on a field trip with one of our favourite teachers through the chaguaramas area. i did not believe it was such a historical landmark and sight as people said it was .
Our Destination was the Edith Falls In Chaguaramas located going up Caranage to the Macripe Main Road and Jus Go In The Street Where It Says CDA Edith Falls and National Park. The Day started off Rainy where we met our tour guides and headed into the track. She told us that Edith falls is very dangerous and strenous trail to get there because when rain falls the water can gush down causing people to drown or have serious injuries. Alot of animals were sighted such as howler monkeys and such. We were only quarter of our trail when rain started to fall. we were stranded on the trail and had to shelter under baliser yes PNM Leaves. Completely soaked we had to run to a nearby golf course and boarded back the bus and she instead carried us to wonderful sights of the road. Our first sight was going further up macripe main road where there was a big sign with Bamboo cathedral and tracking station. Go into there and you will enter bamboos carved like arches overhead. many people host weddings there because of the natrual arch. Goin up further is the tracking station where in world war 11 the Americans used to spy on the russians and germans. its a huge satelite and a historical sight. everything is still there but it do not work.from there you can spot all the islands including venezuela. Everyone come to this place including UWI students to star watch. We stopped in a road where it have bunkers hidden in bushes from way back to 1891 or earlier. it was really worthwhile. we later went to Macripe beach where we cooled off and headed back to skool.
