Do you think Community/Village Councils Are Worth Anything?

Do you know what is a village council? They are a group of people mostly neighbours, dedicated people, business people, elders, and highly respected people in a certain area coming together to help fix, raise funds and encourage goodness and also help the community in a number of ways. Councils were huge and popular long time but now they get so unknown and some drop out that no one takes them on. Some areas do not even have a council. The government do not take them on anymore and police officers who are assigned to some areas Eg. Longdenville do not even take it seriously. Some popular areas like Sando maybe have popular strong councils but areas like Caparo for eg. maybe dont even have one,

So i am asking do you think Village councils these days are significant in society and in what way?
How they can help us now in this day and age?

Tabaquite have a village council and they always have some kinda event... Don't know if they still exist...Maybe admin may share some light in that...But areas like Caparo for example, don't have dedicated people... They only look after themselves and only there surroundings... For example, in my area (unknown), gabbage trucks don't come in the road due to the conditions..So we have to put it at the beginning of the road...However, some idoit throw a big bag of rubbish in the middle of the road ..Cars can't even pass and the pepole in the road jus passing it straight... The nerve of those people make me sick... My better half have to get out d car and move it so the car could pass...What co-operation we have as villagers..

Yeah if our village councils had half the cohesion that some groups of people do we'd get alot more done. Its funny that these councils dont have much community spirit.. or anything to do with community in general.

I tell you i just went to an unknown village council meeting and some of them corrupted themselves. Some of them do not like each other and some feel like they are supreme. If people are dedicated to fixing the village why not put aside their differences and help the way they are suppose to

In my village meetings r held every 2nd Tuesday's of every month an yes is still lots of old stooge dere an don't want to give way.....people don't realy change nah but we d villagers must put pressure on d council to do tings in our area.....don't let d councilor get away....join ur village council an voice ur complains...its d only way..
