While this is very helpful information , i think i will stick to 990 and 999.... Its easier to remember

Thats one thing I think should be changed in this country, there shouldn't be a different number for a police station don't matter the district. There should be a nationwide number to get a police station regardless of district. Why is it that KFC have 0777 number for most of its branches no matter what area code but our police service doesn't,guess calling for food in times of distress is more comforting than calling for help.

cool3ni correct me if I am wrong..but isnt the standard number "999" in case of emergency regardless of where in teh country you are calling from ?

I believe so. I always thought they just forwarded it to the relevant authorities.

DEFENSE FORCE soldier Curtis Marshall, who died at hospital early Sunday morning, was murdered....
The autopsy, which was conducted yesterday at Forensic Science Centre, Federation Park, St James, listed the cause of death as that of strangulation......
The result was handed over to his family late yesterday evening, with them now calling for a full-scale investigation into his death and those responsible be brought to justice......
Marshall, 30, was a corporal with the Regiment for the past eight years......On Saturday night, he collapsed at Teteron Barracks in Chaguaramas and later died at the Seventh-Day Adventist Hospital in Cocorite around 12.20 a.m. on Sunday......
Marshall's brother, Dennis, told the Express by phone yesterday that at first his family believed that Marshall died of a heart or asthma attack as he collapsed shortly after a training session.....
"They killed my brother. We thought it was a heart attack but I know my brother was not sick. This is not ending here," he said.......

Senior Western Division police officers confirmed the findings of the autopsy and stated that Homicide detectives have now taken over the case.

PATHOLOGIST Dr Hubert Daisley yesterday told the family of Lance Corporal Curtis Marshall he erred when he stated the deceased soldier was murdered....Daisley told the family he was sorry....Marshall's brother, Dennis, yesterday described the situation as "madness.....One minute they saying he was killed, now they saying it is natural causes? That is madness,"
The preliminary results of Daisley's autopsy corroborated with McDonald-Burris findings that Marshall's death was due to strangulation....Daisley's preliminary results also stated that Marshall sustained several blows to the back of his head....Daisley yesterday told the family that his preliminary findings were wrong.......

wat rely going in dis country.....makes u wonder if dis is another cover up........wat says u?????

2 members of the Defence Force were remanded in custody along with a civilian when they appeared before Magistrate Marcia Busby Earle-Caddle on Tuesday charged with the rape of a 14-year-old Rio Claro girl......Kurt Bradley Samaroo, a 23- year-old soldier, Chase Kevin Ramdath, a 23-year-old air guard and Chris Brent Ramdath 21, a plumber were not called upon to plead....the 3 were charged with grievous bodily harm, rape and detaining the 14-year-old at an abandoned house in Rio Claro on January 12.....The charges were laid indictably..... The men were remanded for tracing and will re-appear on January 24 when the bail will be considered.....The 14-year-old student of Ecclesville was allegedly assaulted in her neighbourhood......Chief Staff of Defence Brigadier General Kenrick Maharaj has since discharged Samaroo (soldier) and Ramdath (air guard).....Brigadier General Maharaj gave instructions yesterday for the 2 to be discharged with immediate effect......According to a statement from the Defence Force, both servicemen, who served less than 2 years under their respective formations, are to be discharged by order of the Chief of Defence Staff under the provision of the Defence Act Chapter 14:01 “Service no longer required”........
