ANYA AYOUNG-CHEE WINS PROJECT RUNWAY

Former Ms. Trinidad and Tobago Anya Ayoung-Chee has won Project Runway Season 9, 2011.

Hosted by Heidi Klum Project Runway is a reality television series showed on Lifetime network in which fashion designers compete for the coveted $100,000.00 prize.

From the final four designers Anya emerged the winner with a collection inspired by Tobago's laid back culture... Consisting mostly of flowing print dresses.

In the end, the judges decided that Anya deserved the champion title as they thought they could picture what a future Anya shoe or bag or dress might look like.

WINNINGS INCLUDE
US$100,000 from L'Oreal Paris
a fashion spread in Marie Claire,
a $50,000 technology suite by HP and Intel
and the opportunity to design and sell a collection on Piperlime.com.

SO THIS GOES TO SHOW THAT GOOD DOES COME OUT OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO..

because of the ratings she got in the local papers i looked at the show and i must say it was nail biting when it was time to announce the winner. seeing that the other finalists were americans who looked like they knew what they were doing and she a lil caribbean girl who at times looked lost.... she really suprised us!!!!!!!!!!!!
